About Our Farm

Northern Lights Christmas Tree Farms bring to our customers the finest Balsam and Fraser Fir Trees Nova Scotia has to offer.  We hand pick the finest from hundreds of acres and thousands of trees!  (A major advantage to our customers)  We never mass-cut our trees, but supervise our production to custom fit each and every customer.  Our multiple growing and shipping locations also benefit the customer.  Bringing fresh product to you is very important, so we cut our trees as close to the shipping date as possible.  Come visit our operation anytime, we are proud of our operation and it is always a pleasure to show you around.

History

Northern Lights Tree Farms has been a family-run business since it began in 1984. The company was run by the ownership team of Wayne Priest and Mike Merkle until Wayne's retirement at the end of the 2008 season. Wayne's son, Matthew, along with his wife, Gena, now own and operate the company. Mike Merkle is still part of the team. Our employees join in to make sure our customers get the best of service.

U-Cut for Families

Besides providing our trees to large corporate customers, we run a U-Cut operation in Clam Harbour which is close to Halifax and Dartmouth. This location offers a wonderful traditional experience which has been enjoyed by three generations of families. At $20.00 including tax, you will not find a more affordable place to make memories and get an excellent tree.
